Home sewing is easy….

in Vintage Sewing

….or so it says!

The fabric tells a story about a woman in the 50´s who sews her own cloths and how people admire the things she makes.
I used a pattern from the 60´s and the dress was quite easy to sew. I had never tried making cuffs before, so I was excited to find out if I could manage the challenge. And I think that it worked out wonderfully :-) I also made a belt because I like to center the waist.
The shoes are from the danish brand Lola Ramona. I got them for my birthday and I love simply love them.

And by the way, I love comments :-)

It does look like a lot of fun! The fabric and colors are great, too. And, I really like your shoes as well :)

Your fabric is amazing! May I ask if there is any manufacturer's information on the selvedge, and where you got it?

I have the little booklet, issued by Free-Westinghouse, if memory serves, from which those images are taken.

Your dress is utterly charming, and those shoes are divine!

Hi Marolsh,
thanks for your comment :-) The fabric is from Alexander Henry, and the name of the fabric is "Home sewing is easy". I bought the fabric in Denmark, but if you google the name, you will find a retailer on the net (near you). Alexander henry has many fun prints.
Kind regards
Linda
