Christmas Skirt Complete & I Will NEVER Work With Plush Again

March 10, 2011

This skirt was made of the worst material ever. It was a green plush that had like a fishing line inter-weaved into it. This of course broke one of my machines needles. Oh and did I mention that although the material had no stretch, when it was sewn it looked as though it stretched out.  Absolute fail!  It was pretty much self drafted and I love the pleats.  It fits like a dream too but the fabric  was such a pain and the waistband twists a bit.  Should I keep it or ditch it and rip it apart and try again?  Of course as always come visit me for more info and interesting this at The 50’s Project!
Till Later!

  1. I think that I'm going to rip the back pleats out and try and do SOMETHING with the waistband to salvage it. I really have been working on this one for a long time.
