This is one of my favourite patterns – I’ve sewed nearly every version of it, but this one is by far my favourite. It requires no zipper and is so easy to wear with a pair of jeans!
I made this version out of a vintage-look printed cotton. I don’t want to take it off! It is so comfortable and pretty! This is going to definitely get a lot of rotation in my wardrobe.
One funny thing I did find with this pattern is the bust darts are quite off. As you can see in the second picture, the end of the dart reaches about 1.5″ higher than the bust apex. My measurements coordinated with the measurements recommended for the pattern – I noticed that with all of the versions the bust points were kind of funny. I also had to widen the arm holes about 1″ (I have chubby limbs!).You can see more on my Blog. Thanks 🙂

The darts – they off due to modern undergarments letting 'the girls' sit lower and rounder. If you were to wear the top with a vintage undergarment everything would line up better.
Moving the dart down 2" may help with the fit. There are some great instructions on line on how to move darts around if you search and its not as hard you'd think.

Great job with the blouse. The fabric is very pretty and it does look very comfortable. I've run into that same type of thing with darts when working with vintage patterns. Sometimes it works out OK, but other times adjustments are in order. I honestly wouldn't have noticed unless you mentioned it though. 😉
The other comments are correct. The vintage bras would have the darts hit you in the right place. Think Maidenform "Chansonette"! The girls were riding high in the 50's and 60's. Cute top on you. I'm always looking for a nice sleeveless top for jeans and shorts.
ahh! I had never even thought about that (which is crazy because I am a lingerie maker)! I'll need to whip up a bullet bra to go with 🙂
