Vintage Sewing

Vintage Girl Sewing

February 2, 2011

Hi, my name is Gina and have started a blog that includes posts about sewing vintage patterns from a semi-beginner’s viewpoint. I am so inspired by the many sewers out there sewing vintage and wearing vintage clothes. I thought I was the only nutty girl who carries a vintage purse and wears odd looking, fur collared  1950’s coats! It’s nice to see I am not a lone, that there are others, lost in the glamor of the past. I have been wearing vintage clothes for about 20 years and am finding it harder to find these gems at reasonable prices. That’s why I started sewing. I would love to have you visit me at http://vintagegirl68.blogspot.com/  The above pictures are a few items I have sewed recently. I am hoping to sew some really beautiful things in the future, just working out the fit issues right now. I want to say a big thanks to this community of sewers, for your support, tips and encouragement. It means a lot to me! Until next time, Have a wonderful vintage day!

  1. I love your Asian blouse! I want to sew a cheongsam soon- it is in my mental queue. Lovely job on yours! And it's beautiful in green.

  2. Thanks, everyone, love the input, my goal is to keep sewing as much as I can over the next few years, I am a pear shaped gal and am done with shopping RTW!
