I made a dress from a 1942 sewing pattern from Du Barry (5357) for Valentines Day. The silk blend fabric was tough to cut but I’m glad my perseverance paid off. More photos and info on my blog The Sew Convert.
Have a blessed day!

Indeed it did! You look great! Love the fit!
It's absolutely stunning, love it. x
That is a gorgeous dress. I love how the quite modern print plays off of the vintage style. The colors looks great on you. Have you tried using a spray like Helmar Sew Stable to make your silks less slippery and more manageable while you sew them? It washes out and has totally changed my (sewing) life.
