Hello! My name is Bry (pronounced like the cheese!) and I love all things retro, vintage patterns, and sewing. I am a costume designer by trade and love to sew myself retro and vintage inspired garments whenever possible. I just love learning new things and techniques. I think just about every era in fashion history is fascinating and has very inspiring details. I love to make myself stuff from the 1920’s to the 1950’s.
I recently finished this 1950’s inspired dress based on the modern pattern Simplicity 3878.
I also recently finished two dresses based on Sense and Sensibility’s new 1780s Ladies’ Portrait Dress Pattern.

i've tried a couple of different regency era patterns- will have to give this one a whirl. they're all lovely.
You are so clever. I haven't sewed for years, I was really bad at it, but who knows I might have another go one day. I so love 1920s and 30s fashion. So I just write about it.
