wee 1960′s Mini

in 1960s

Before and after shots of a mini skirt made from Charles Parson Print fabric I used a 1960′s miniskirt pattern and altered it slightly to fit my waist hip ratio. This fabric is pretty mental but i tried to use it in a way I could pair it with block colours to tone in down a couple of shades. This fabric was really nice to work with…good quality soft cotton twill.

Not much sewing for me lately, but i’m still loving the vintage outfits I’m seeing posted on SewRetro.

Cheers and happy creating,

I think the fabric is awesome! That was a good choice of pattern for it–you get just enough of it but not too much.

Nice skirt ! The fabric is great, this design is a good choice for it. I'm sure it will be perfect worn with a simpe top in a matching color.
