Twin Spruce Dress: Simplicity 3965

October 21, 2010

Hi Everyone!
I recently finished a lovely little 1950’s full-skirted dress, Simplicity 3965. It’s a true vintage project – made from a vintage pattern as well as vintage rayon fabric!
Here’s the pattern I used:and here’s the finished dress!

I spent a lot of time on the construction of this dress and it turned out beautifully. I’m thrilled with the results! (It’s really comfortable, too.)
Check out more photos and read more on my blog here. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Everything about your dress is to love! I need to finally figure out how to alter my patterns so the bodice fits me that nicely. I tailor after the fact. It's amazing how a dress can do from nice to amazing with a great fit. Amazing work!!

  2. Thanks everyone! @iammomster.blogspot.com, sorry I didn't see this comment for so long! The fabric is a vintage rayon print I bought on Etsy, so it's one of a kind. I buy a lot of fabric on Etsy and love that I can get something unique, that no one else has!
