1940′s Pattern

in Vintage Sewing

I have been hanging on to this pattern for years now and finally pulled it out of my stash last week.I shortened the dress into a blouse that was more wearable for me. I cut the pattern out of black chiffon and lace. Here it is!

It was really fun to sew, with interesting darts in the sleeves. It was nice to sew something a little different!
Thanks for looking :) There a few pictures over on my blog

Oh wow, this is gorgeous! You can dress it up or down…I really love it!

What a clever idea to turn a dress into a blouse…you've got me all inspired now ;o)

Your version is extremely beautiful, the lace detail is such a good idea!
