Sew Today are running a Vintage Vogue competition and here is my entry! You start with a current pattern from the Vintage Vogue range and adapt/ customise/ modernise in any way you like. I used V1171 and Steven Alan/ APC/ red, white and blue as my inspiration. I have charted my progress throughout this project on my blog, Goldfinch and Eagle, from pattern adaptation through construction. There are loads more photos there. I plan to wear it to Vintage Goodwood this weekend.
Please let me know what you think- I would love to hear your comments!
I like this dress, especially the tucks. I am a sucker for those.

I adore this so much!! Are you selling the pattern for this, cos if you are, I'm buying!
Thanks ladies! I will be working on some vintage dress patterns, but this is a one-off at the mo! If lots of people are interested I can work on this as a design though. Alternatively, I can custom draft it for you…
beautiful! i totally want it.
How did you do the detailing around the hem?
