I am so excited to be part of this inspiring community, but am feeling rather terrified at having to write an introductory post. My mind just goes blank every time I try to write this post, so I’m just going to throw a little bit of me out there quickly and get on to the pictures because those are really my best introduction anyway. My name is Tabi (short for Tabitha), and I have a wonderful husband and two adorable children. In addition to introductions, I am also terrified of earwigs. I don’t have a sewing space so I create on my kitchen table, pack it all up before meals, and post about it on my blog Refugee Crafter. I change my hairstyle and mind frequently, but one thing that never changes is my love of all things retro. Here’s a recent creation:

I'm more of a lurker than a commenter on this blog, but I had to come out of my hiding place to comment on your post – what a GORGEOUS dress!!!!! You look absolutely stunning!!!!!
beautiful! love those red heels.
I love that dress, went to your blog and saw the close up of the flower with the rhinestones, just beautiful. Your intro was just fine. I to never know how much to write or what to write. I am waiting until I have something to show before I post to the group. That should be soon.
Great job on the dress! I read your blog post and I totally agree with you on the scene from White Christmas where Vera-Ellen is dancing with Danny Kay. It is hot pink underneath! How cool is that!
Love the dress. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more!!
Marvelous dress; simply stunning!
Amazing! So pretty and flattering. I used to be afraid of earwigs but I got over it…you will too!
You did a beautiful job on that dress! That dress style could be used as a vintage wedding dress. Don't be surprised if you get offers from brides wanting to buy it to use for their wedding dress. Vintage wedding dresses are a hot commodity now!
