Thanks to my self-imposed clothing and fabric ration, I’m having to get creative in sourcing dress fabric. This dress started life as a tablecloth, presumably sometime during the late 1960s/early 1970s. I bought it in a French thrift shop for €2.

I underlined it with a cast-off bedsheet dyed brown, making this dress something of a walking white sale. The pattern is McCall’s 9087, from 1968.

More details and another dress made from non-dress fabric over at my blog.
Ha ha, that's fun ! I'm French and my parents have the exact same tablecloth, we used to eat on it when I was a child 🙂
