Hiya All!

I’ve been asked to let you know about a competition being held by the Academy of Art Univesity. Here is the email that they sent me, good luck to anyone who enters!

Hi there,

I’ve been checking out your site, and I’m in love with all of the different retro styles that your contributors write about. I’m used to seeing a lot of 50s and 60s patterns, but there are some incredible 20s and 30s pieces as well. Such a treat to see!

I work at Academy of Art University. I wanted to reach out to you and your readers (and contributors) about a contest we are running to win a free pair of VIP Tickets to New York Fashion Week. Winners will get to mingle with industry insiders while they watch the debut of Academy of Art University’s Spring 2011 Collections.

For more information about the contest, check out: http://www.academyart.edu/fashion-school/new-york-fashion-week-contest.html

Academy of Art University’s School of Fashion is the only school to show at New York Fashion Week, which makes this contest an amazing opportunity to see up-and-coming fashion designers and rub elbows with fashion’s elite. You can see the Academy’s Fall 2010 Collections here: www.academyart.edu/fashionshow/2010-02-13_new_york.html. Definitely check out Bethany Meuleners who had a very vintage flair to her collections: http://www.fashionschooldaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/03_academyofartf10_mg_6271.jpg.

It would be great if you could share this contest with your readers. I think they would really enjoy the challenge. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks,

Lynn Dalsing
