Hello everyone! I’m Angie & I blog at Quality Time. I’m a long, long time lover of vintage patterns and clothing, the 1930s & 40s being my favorite decades. I started collecting vintage patterns YEARS before I ever started sewing. This is my first post to Sew Retro, although I’ve been meaning to do so for a few months now!

These shorts were made from this vintage pajama pattern, Simplicity 1230. I like to look for pajama patterns to use for period trousers! They’re usually quite detailed (for something you’re going to sleep in.)

And here are my finished shorts, in a peachy-pink linen.

The pattern required very little fiddling on my part to get a near-perfect fit. That never happens! I’m super happy with them and plan on several more pair in various lengths.

There are lots more pictures on my blog, including some closer detail shots. Thank you for having me here at Sew Retro!

My old dressmaker made me two of those with the top. I love that pattern!
