A new post on my blog featuring some of my mother’s home sewn clothes from the early 1960s, I also have some of the patterns and an old photo of her wearing one of the dresses.
I am just starting the process of documenting these clothes, they need to be washed and pressed, but they are still beautiful.
My aunt also has a full wardrobe of vintage clothes, shoes and handbags that I am working on getting permission to document.

Isn't this a gorgeous pattern? I love version 2 best but both are pretty. I will be making version 2 in a polished cotton. Monique xx
I have this pattern, and was honestly not that thrilled about it until I saw a photo of your mom's dress as it is today and in a photo in which she is she actually wearing it. Gave the dress a whole new positive spin. Thanks so much, she had great clothes!
Thank you so much for sharing! I really enjoyed looking at your mother's beautiful handwork. What a great legacy to leave! 🙂
People are often told to throw out old stuff, but what a treasure you have. I love the fact that you have photos of your Mum wearing the clothes.
It's making me think differently about the few old dresses I have kept.
