For my latest project I used this early 1960s vintage pattern, Simplicity 3932, and modern fabric. Although this pattern is for a culotte dress, I just not fond of full-blown culottes so I amended the pattern to make a skirt with a front and back pleat.
The fabric is a lineny weave rayon with a vine and leaf design embroidered on it. I got the fabric last fall at Mary Jo’s Cloth Store in Gastonia, NC when my sister-in-law and I spent a full day there. Seriously. And we could have stayed longer!

Excellent! So cute!
That's such a beautiful, classic style. Looks great!
That dress is so cute – I love the box pleat in the front.
Don't think I would have noticed the culottes if you hadn't mentioned them. The box pleat certainly achieves the same effect whilst being so much more practical. Very pretty dress and I love the styling with the big buttons and belt!
this is a really cute dress and you look so pretty in it. well done!
super adorable and very flattering. love the belt with it.
LOVE it!
