Hello retro lovers, here is the result of my latest sewing project, using the pattern below, McCall’s 6120. I’m not sure what year the pattern is from as I can’t find it on the Vintage Sewing Pattern Wiki – any ideas? I made the red bow out of leftover fabric from another dress. Really cute dress, love the belt! Regarding the age of the pattern, based on the hairstyles and the skirt length suggested in the envelope illustration, I think it's from 1960, give or take a year.
It's from 1961 : )
I like this one. The neck is still a bit too open for me; but it is much nicer than anything we can find in the stores. This is a more modest pattern. Beautiful job!
Great work! I like that pattern, especially the neckline on the one you made.
1961 eh? Thanks Katherine! (How did you know, by the way?)
What a sweet dress. I love the addition of the bow!
this is just fabulous. i love the red bow belt.
