McCalls 6120

Hello retro lovers, here is the result of my latest sewing project, using the pattern below, McCall’s 6120. I’m not sure what year the pattern is from as I can’t find it on the Vintage Sewing Pattern Wiki – any ideas? I made the red bow out of leftover fabric from another dress. More pictures and info on my blog :)

  • Really cute dress, love the belt! Regarding the age of the pattern, based on the hairstyles and the skirt length suggested in the envelope illustration, I think it's from 1960, give or take a year.

  • It's from 1961 : )

  • I like this one. The neck is still a bit too open for me; but it is much nicer than anything we can find in the stores. This is a more modest pattern. Beautiful job!
