Help…. belt advice!

June 16, 2010
Hi guys

So I am steaming through my Ebay pattern stash..
This one is my latest.
I am wearing it on a date on Monday to see Wanda Jackson.. AAAARRGGHH sooooooo exciting!
Buuuuttttt, I cant decide which belt buckle to use.

This is dress with white one…

This is dress with navy one…

My sartorial guide (aka 14 yr old son) is not here, and his tastes have been getting a bit dodgy lately anyway, so what do you guys think?

  1. I vote for the white- it lifts the dress from everyday to extra special. Beautiful work by the way.

  2. Absolutely the white belt. It just gives that extra touch to make the dress special. Have fun on your date!

  3. It has to be the white one I think. It lifts the dress at the same time as blending in with the polka dots. Gorgeous!

  4. White! The dots complement the fabric and lift out of it to make it look that little more dressy. Great dress too 🙂

  5. Whoa, am I late to the party. Just viewed and also prefer the white. The way it echos the dots is fabulous. Well in terms of the dress era – it adds just that touch of swank that sets the outfit off to perfection. Go rock it!

  6. The white, definitely, and OMG you are so lucky! Have a great time, Wanda is still #1 in my book!!

  7. WHITE, WHITE, WHITE, WHITE, WHITE! No Question About It. To find a buckle that echos those dots is not kharma to be messed with.

  8. White! It stands out more. Great dress!
I recently made a brown and white dotted dress, and used a white belt so I'm a bit biased. I like the use of contrast, plus that way it doesn't matter if your tone-on-tone is perfectly matched.

  9. The white one! The dots mirror the polka dots on the fabric perfectly. It'd really be an eyecatcher – not that your handiwork can't stnad on its own. Gorgeous dress!
