Hi everyone! I haven’t really posted much since I joined a few months ago but I haven’t sewn any vintage patterns. It’s all been vintage inspired but from contemporary patterns.
Anyway, I thought this is worth sharing here. My friend Helen asked me to make her a dress to wear to a function in a couple of weeks time and I was more than happy to help her. She wanted a red and white polka dot halter dress with a full circle skirt. So I searched online for inspiration, went fabric shopping with her and finally got to start working on it tonight. I put the main dress together so far, I still need to cut, sew and add the halter and make the petticoat to go with it. For more details, photos and updates visit my blog.

i love polka dots! super cute!
Oh gosh is that cute. If it were mine, I'd want to spin and twirl all day in it! Polka dots and a full skirt – that's just a recipe for fun!
