This pattern is from the 1940’s and not the newer Simplicity 4258 that is a bridal gown. It was very easy to sew and since this was my first experience with a vintage pattern, I fell in love with the way the pattern is pre-cut with all the bells and whistles taken care of. It was a breeze to trace! I have other pictures on my blog and some of the problems I ran into (my own silliness rather than issues with the way the pattern was). I love my new dress! Now I just need a hat…..
Sorry about not putting the link on my blog here earlier! Silly me! I meant to but completely forgot about it!!
Looks fabulous and love the furry baby too. Please post a link to your blog for us.
Seems you were able to find fabric so similar to the illustration on the pattern…you did a lovely job, the sleeves look great! More pictures please!!
How cool is it that you found fabric just like the pattern envelope! The dress looks lovely, and great sleeves.
I think this dress is fabulous. I especially like though the puppy accessory. 🙂
