Hello all. I thought as a way to share my many, many vintage catalogs, Id introduce a catalog Sunday to my blog. Ill post excerpts from my Sears, Montgomery Wards, Lane Bryant, and pattern catalogs so to show the latest styles for men women (plus sized women too) and even kiddies.

Today’s post is women’s fashions from the Sears fall/winter 42-43 catalog.

Check every Sunday to see a few pages of surprises!

Cool idea for a blog feature!

It's interesting to see how my eye sees some of these items as quite current, but there's just some little detail that would update them. Those high-waisted pants, for example–I'd definitely lose the pleats to make them tres chic for today.

Ooh, I loved the shoes with the odd lacing. Don't recall seeing this before. I hope you'll remember to remind Sew Retro every week about Catalog Sunday. It's a great feature.
