Last weekend I had a family wedding to attend, and seeing as it coincided with my self-imposed Me-Made-March challenge, to only wear things I have made myself (excluding bras, socks, tights and shoes) I had to get busy with my sewing machine and rustle something up. The result was this bright coral wiggle dress:
I used a vintage Simplicity pattern (unfortunately undate) that I won in a pattern giveaway that was advertised on this site, but I’m useless and have forgotten who gave it away, sorry!
It’s a shame the Sew Retro Mad Men competition is over because I think this dress definately channels the spirit of Joan Holloway! More on this dress on my blog here.
Awesome dress!!!!
I love orange. I truly am loving this dress. I have seen that pattern before, probably here. Turned out fantastic.
The orange is stunning on you and I love it with black accessories.

Ha Ha! I just realized I have this pattern in my collection! I have never used it… I think it used to belong to my mom who was quite a bit smaller than myself.
