I never got around to blogging this cool robe I made for my husband for Xmas:

It’s from a 1957 Simplicity men’s robe pattern:

With dressing gown, towelling bathrobe and smoking jacket versions!! I made the dressing gown view from some JoAnn’s flannel. It was a dream to sew, he loves his robe, and my 5-year-old loved picking out the fabric. I seriously recommend this pattern — I will be making every version eventually! More photos and details on my blog!

That is one very cool dressing gown! And I'll second how good that pattern is. I've used it to make my own husband a couple of dressing gowns – a tweed winter one with purple piping, and summer red linen one with white spots. The winter one I made is fabulous, if I say so myself, but your one is equally fabulous!
That's great, I love it!
thanks, ClaireBee! Nathalie – do you have pics of yours up anywhere? I'd love to see them!
So glad you did post it now. It is fabulous.
Totally awesome!
What a great robe! I have some vintage men's patterns that I want to make for my hubs. This fun robe has inspired me!… Does your hubs smoke a pipe? lol
I just love the fabric!
