I finished my coat, not without some issues… despite that, I like it and am happy that it’s done in time to actually use it on those crisp autumn days.
It’s made from a vintage, red twill that was part of Louise’s big auction haul. I only had 3 yards at 36″ wide and had to squeeze it out.
If interested, you can read more about it on my blog. http://when-ladies-dressed.blogspot.com/2009/10/red-twill-coat.html

What pattern did you use?
I think it came out wonderfully! I read the rest of the story on your blog, and while you may see imperfections in it, I think it looks professionally made and very, very cool! I'd love to know what pattern you used; I'm dying for a good coat like that!
Everyone needs a red coat! I love the 3/4 sleeves. Nice!
Yes, it looks great. I love red for winter!
