Hello! This is my first post. I have been sewing for about two years and have slowly amassed a collection of patterns, some of which are vintage. I own a number of vintage dresses, shoes, and hats and am looking forward to creating my own. My first post highlights a Butterick reprint, #6582, from the 1960’s. I call it the Naughty Librarian Dress, because, with a little tweaking of the pattern pieces, it just came out so form-fitting. You can read my full review at my blog Sewer Sluts.

Very elegant! Great work!
I made the straight cocktail length version of this dress in dull black satin. I ended up without as much drape as in the picture but still a fabulous dress! It went together wonderfully well and was a joy to make. I love the polka dots, they are so cute! You did an amazing job!
Love the gloves! Pattern directions are such a mystery…very detailed at one step, while another step is incredible vague or seems to skip key things. Fantastic job on the dress!!
You did an amazing job. I love it, well done. Also love the gloves!
OMG, I only *just* finished this off yesterday, same style same pattern. I used purple suede like fabric, but not sure if it suits me. Plus it's a little big all over… I'm about to blog it at my blog, but will have to list it here too! TWINS!
