Hi all.
I’m actively looking for a retro bathing suit pattern. I hope to find something from the fifties (one piece) I need a pattern that will fit a bust size 36″. I’ve checked all the vintage pattern companies from the dress a day blog. I’ve checked ebay.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I took the wardrobe refashion pledge, I am refraining from buying the item new (at least that is the plan).

Have you checked BurdaStyle? I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but they have a swimsuit called Alison:

And it’s free! 🙂

I was just going to suggest the alison bathing suit too! With a bit more of a boy leg this is a perfect fifties suit!
I second (or third) the Alison bathing suit. I think I might try my hand at it. I have some awful pink polyester stretch material….
Did you check glamoursurf ?

I find it easier to come up with a pattern number and THEN start the massive search. I’d start here to find a few patterns I like, and then start Googling the pattern numbers:

Also, I made my own retro suit last year (no pattern). I wrote about it here and on my own blog:

Good luck!
Check out etsy.com
I’ve seen quite a few patterns for vintage suits on there pretty cheap.
I love it ! Very creative ! That's actually really cool Thanks.
