I’m about to show my utter lack of knowledge of fabrics. I found this at a sale today. Nice pink print on the front and on the back, almost like mole-skin. I’m not sure what it is. It’s very thick but pliable. Any suggestions?

Interesting fabric. My guess is going to be an upholstery fabric, but it’s just a guess. I love this blog by the way.
Hello!
The right side of the fabric looks very close to being flannel. Do you think the back side feels more like fleece than mole-skin? I’m asking because this fabric could be fleece-backed flannel. Take a look at this large image of a swatch of flannel from fabric.com:

Do you think it resembles yours a bit? I hope you will solve this mystery soon!
yes, it could feel like very short pile fleece. the print side after closer inspection does resemble denim. I’m fascinated with this fabric and need to find something to make with it.
You described denim on the outside and a soft fleece on the inside.
I am thinking that it might have been intended for toddler’s clothes – my granddaughter has some overalls that have a nice soft lining, but a durable outer fabric.
And your fabric has a very childlike print. Just a guess.
