1. Three ways: random number, contest, and quiz.

The easiest way is to have people leave a comment to enter the contest, and then choose a winner by picking a random number that corresponds to the winning comment based on the numerical order the comments were posted. There are random number generators all over the web.

Alternatively, you can set up a contest with a theme (like a subjective question) and then you just pick the commenter whose answer to the question you like best.

The third way is to set up a few quiz questions, and then let people submit their answers as comments. The first person to submit the correct answer(s) is the winner.

    I hope this helps!

  2. Jenny has pretty much covered the lot, but I did something a little different for mine.

Instead of the random number generator, I wrote all the names of each commenter on a separate slip of paper. Then I put all the slips in a hat and drew the winners from the hat. I also took photos of the process, which I posted when I announced the winners.

Happy giveaway planning! Let us know when you have it. 🙂

  3. We use the names on a slip of paper in a box method. It is a big deal for one of my sons to pick the winner Sunday night!
