Vintage Sewing

Channeling my inner Laura Ingalls Wilder

June 17, 2008
This skirt is made with vintage and new fabric. I used a vintage pattern that had gores because I didn’t have enough of any one fabric for the skirt to be all the same. I converted the skirt to wrap style. I left the raw edges on the flower applique so that it would gently fray with each additional washing. The vintage crochet apron is attached to the skirt and becomes a layering element. More on my blog www.countrygirlcouture.blogspot.com/
