in Vintage Sewing

This is my first summer sewing of 2008! It hit the upper 70s this weekend, which made me realize I either have to alter everything from last Summer, or start sewing new stuff. This is Simplicity 2959: I’d much rather sew new stuff!

Oh that is lovely!
I really like the neckline on that pattern. How challenging would you say this was?

So adorable!

What’s the sleeve treatment like on that? Does it has a sleeve piece, or is that an extension of the bodice?

I love that pattern. I think i’ve admired it somewhere else before. At any rate, it’s great to see it made up!

Do older patterns have a better fit than new ones?

I really like this dress. Did you line the eyelet fabric? Nice pattern. Neckline is similar to a lot of what I am seeing now.

love that pleated (gathered?) neckline, and the sleeves have a neat, small look.
what a perfect pattern!
