Hello! I’m Juliane, also known as Retro Grace, and I blog about sewing and smocking and other things, too. I especially enjoy collecting and sewing with vintage patterns, and my collection seems to grow and grow….
I particularly love vintage children’s patterns. This one is Simplicity 1149 that I made for my granddaughter:
I name all the little dresses I make, and I call this one Bubblegum. I adore it.
I love the sash:
The back detail:
I’m happy to join all of you here!
That is TOOoooo cute! I love vintage girl’s patterns! Great fabric choice!
I’ll second that. Sooo cute — the pattern, the fabric, the sash … and the granddaughter, who looks adorable!
Absolutely adorable!!!! I love the fabric and the vintage pattern! You are a fabulous seamstress! Looking forward to seeing more of your projects!
Julianne, you are amazing! I can’t wait to be a grandma for this very reason. What a great idea, to name your dresses!
And what a cutie of a granddaughter, as well!
I love this fabric. It is so cute and colorful.
Welcome!
The dress is adorable! And so clever with the bow in the back. I’m going to have to tell my mother about it – she sews for my 4 year old niece.
Your little grand daughter are the dress are just darling!!! I have three DD’s and sewed for them from the time they were born. LOL, that pattern looks like one I used.
I think you should call it Sugarlump. Because that’s what your adorable little grandbaby is in her sweet little dress! 🙂
Oh how darling!
Thank you all for the kind comments. I like it so much I’m thinking about redrafting it up to a larger size.
Juliane
